Wire & Plastic Machinery Corp. is the world’s largest buyer and reseller of second-hand wire, cable and optical fiber equipment. We are a full service company with experienced sales and support engineers, many of whom are industry veterans that joined us from cable manufacturing companies. We understand our customers’ needs and meet those needs faster than anyone.

Company History

Wire & Plastic Machinery Corp. was founded in 1981 by Rick Narang in a rented warehouse located in Paterson, NJ. The company initially operated as a dealer of second-hand wire and plastic equipment catering to Northeast wire and cable companies. In 1985, Wire & Plastic expanded its operations to service national and international customers. During that period the company also started rebuilding many types of wire and cable equipment. In 1986, the west portion of the Bristol CT complex, comprising of 200,000 sq. ft, was acquired and the company moved into more spacious quarters. New hires were made to provide full technical and equipment reconditioning services. The rest, as they say, is history:

• 1990: Expanded reconditioning and technical services to include complete lines and commissioning
• 1990’s: Began participating in International trade shows and increased our exposure to potential overseas customers
• 1994: Expanded the Bristol facility to 400,000 sq. ft. and purchased an additional building in New Haven, CT to keep up with increased inventory and capacity
• 2000: Expanded to Wadesboro, North Carolina as part of our strategic plan to service customers from multiple US locations
• 2005: Expanded to Bonham, Texas and created a second machinery reconditioning center in response to increased demand for refurbished equipment
• 2007: Expanded Northeast operations to Pawtucket, Rhode Island
• 2009: Purchased a complete manufacturing facility in Attleboro, MA including all real estate and installed equipment
