Wire & Plastic Machinery received an order for a fully reconditioned Vaughn 10 Die Rod Breakdown Machine with a 30" Syncro DFH Spooler. As you can see, the rod machine was in need of some major work and our engineers were able to restore it to like new condition with all new electrics.

Our rebuilding processes included the following steps:
Vaughn 10 Die Rod Breakdown Machine:
Disassembled, steam cleaned, primed and painted to customer specification
Rotated all worm gears that drive each drawing capstan
Installed New bearings throughout the machine
New bearings in the slide door of the pullout capstan were installed
Installed New heat exchanger
New oil circulation pump was installed
New wire guide arm was installed
New brake pedal was installed
30” Syncro DFH Spooler:
Disassembled, steam cleaned, primed and painted to customer specification
New bearings installed throughout
Traverse was rebuilt
New hydraulic cylinder was installed on traverse
New shaft assembly
New expanding rings on shaft were installed to suit customer reel
New 30 HP AC Vector Motor was installed
New hydraulic and air lines were installed
Electrical:
New NEMA rated enclosure with 400 HP SSD/parker Drive
All new wiring and machine logic
Rebuild existing 400 HP DC Motor
New 30 HP SSD/Parker Vector drive for spooler
New operator console for line controls
